| 7th Jersey Sea Kayaking Symposium 28th May - 5th June 2004 |
Definitely a 4 star day - Louisa and Penny - force 4-5 winds laid on especially... |
Superb 8 days of paddling, coaching, sea conditions and trips ranging from; Puffin watching in a force 5 gale; reverse ferry-gliding on a 5.8 knot (!) tidal race; a real life cliff-bottom rescue to celebrating the 5000th mile of Kevins Nordkapp with strawberries and champagne on Plenmont Bay. A truly inspiring week (clocked up over 110km/60nm of paddling) and a brilliant introduction to Sea Kayaking (even if a little bruising and at times utterly terrifying). |
Beauty and the beasts :) - Louisa, Mo, Duncan, Gordon and, Kevin |
The beautiful St Catrherine's Bay on a very low spring tide - home to Jersey Canoe Club. The tidal range can be as much as 11m. |
Running the tidal race - scary but soooooo exciting - with a very elegant surf landing from Peter. |

3 star smile :), stealth kayaking, the boat from the bag and the novelty spray deck with attached baby. |

Champagne and strawberries on sun drenched Plenmont Bay to celebrate Kevins Nordkapps 5000th mile. |

And many thanks to Alastair at Lendal for rushing our new paddles out to us in time for the Jersey trip - we are now the proud owners of a new set of Nordkapp blades, and Kinetik Touring splits which join Louisas Archipelagos. |
